True community isn’t built on good intention, it is built on showing up. The Redland Foundation volunteer team rolled up our sleeves for another high-impact Community Day this spring. We believe that providing acts of service with large groups is a core responsibility of the Foundation and essential to living out our mission of helping children, teens, and those in need. To put that belief into action, our volunteers split into teams to support three incredible local nonprofits: The Third Way Center, Nourish Meals on Wheels, and the Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot.

Our largest team headed to the Third Way Center’s Lowry Campus, which provides a healing, growth-oriented educational environment for youths. To help create a brighter, more inspiring space for both students and staff, our volunteers spent the day painting four classrooms, the kitchen, the main office, and the hallways. They even lending a hand with facility storage cleanout. This marked the second Community Day that the Redland Foundation has spent with the Third Way Center, the first of which took place in 2023 at their Lincoln apartment location.

Meanwhile, our second team hit the road to deliver fresh meals along the bi-weekly Meals on Wheels route, which has become a volunteering staple. After wrapping up their deliveries, the team joined the Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot to spend the afternoon sorting and organizing a massive diaper shipment destined for local families in need.
