On July 31st, the Redland Foundation gathered friends, colleagues and sponsors for another standout Cowboy After Hours event, combining Western tradition with impactful philanthropy. With a mission to support the hardworking youth of Douglas County 4-H, Cowboy After Hours rewards their dedication by participating in the Junior Livestock Auction.

Thanks to the exceptional generosity of our donors, this year’s event raised over $40,000. Funds were used to support kids and teens through animal bids and critical “add-on” contributions that directly boost each participant’s payout. Keeping with tradition, animals won by the Foundation were re-donated into the secondary auction to generate additional funding for the program. These contributions deliver a lasting return on investment, whether funding their next livestock project or saving for higher education. This year Cowboy After Hours purchased 14 animals and contributed funds to 35 total participants (over 1/3 of the auction).

The evening was a celebration of community support, offering sponsors a premier hospitality experience featuring VIP Rodeo viewing, catered dinner, and easy access to all the exciting happenings at the Douglas County Fair. The Redland Foundation extends its deepest appreciation to everyone who attended and contributed to making Cowboy After Hours 2026 a success.
